This meeting will provide an overview from different perspectives. The April meeting will feature two Deer Park facilities considering major carbon capture and storage projects. Panelists will be asked to explain what carbon capture and storage (CCS) is, its purposes, why it is important, its benefits, its relevance to the community, anticipated impacts both positive and negative, related safety and security, any risks, and any other issues to provide a comprehensive overview. Panelists to be invited include a Ramanan Krishnamoorti, VP of Energy & Innovation, Chemical Engineering professor and Petroleum Engineering professor at University of Houston and Scott Castleman from the Houston Carbon Capture and Storage Alliance, and Air Alliance Houston.
